PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To unnecessitate a film or a heating plate requiring early exchange and to shorten the time required for operation by forming recessed and projected patterns on the surface of a cosmetic container for housing cosmetics by irradiation of laser beams. SOLUTION: A lip stick container 1 is assembled by putting a vertical slot 4a and externally fitting an outer cylinder 5 to the outer peripheral surface of an inner cylinder 4 while engaging the spiral groove 5a of the cylinder 5 with a guiding projection 3a projecting to a lateral side from the cylinder 4. After then, recessed and projected patterns 8, 9 respectively consisting of characters (n), (m) on the outer peripheral surface of a cap 6 and the outer peripheral surface of the flange part 7 of the cylinder 4 in the container 1. Namely, the cap 6 or the cylinder 4 are set to a laser printer and laser beams are irradiated to the outer peripheral surface of the cap 6 and the outer peripheral surface of the flange part 7 of the cylinder 4 to form the patterns 8, 9 consisting of the characters (n), (m).
