PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a webbing takeup device capable of fixing a cover to a leg plate of a frame without using any plug-form member. SOLUTION: A sensor holder 60 and a sensor cover 62 are installed on the outside of a first leg plate 16 of a webbing takeup device 10. The sensor holder 60 is provided with engagement pawls 114 and 118 to be engaged with a mounting hole 102 and an opening 104 for sensor formed in the first leg plate 16, while the sensor cover 62 is provided in the mating positions with separation preventive pieces 130 and 132 to be inserted in the pawls 114 and 118 on the side where separation is made so as to hinder slipping off. Thereby the sensor holder 60 and sensor cover 62 can be fixed to the first leg plate 16 of the frame 14 with no use of any plug-form member.
