Filter for mounting in a floor drain

The invention relates to a filter mountable in a floor drain. The exchangeable disposable filter is made of non- woven fabric or flexible synthetic material mesh, which has been moulded to a low cup or pocket. At the edge of the cup or pocket there is a cylindrical, outward-facing suspension edge 2, which can be fitted in between the edge 4a of the floor drain, or an elevating ring 4b mounted in the drain, and the edge 3a of the cover 3. The suspension edge 2 incorporates a slide-out lifting band 13. The filter is cheap, easily exchangeable and prevents clogging and keeps the floor drain free from sedimentary sludge.
