PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of troubles by an ink adhesion failure by forming recording data whereby ground printing is carried out to a blank part not recorded by image recording data, and executing the ground printing on the basis of the recording data. SOLUTION: Normal recording is carried out to a transparent sheet 1 with the use of an ink 2 of yellow, magenta, cyan and black based on desired image recording data. Ground printing is carried out to a blank part not recorded by the image recording data. Recording data related to the ground printing is formed on the basis of the image recording data in an extraction range enclosing all printing areas based on the image recording data. Recording data for the ground printing is formed by subtracting recording areas using an ink 3 of yellow, magenta, cyan and black from the extraction range, and setting the remaining area as an area to be subjected to the ground printing.
