CARTRIDGE FILTER FOR DUST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make incorporable a cartridge filter in a filter housing without altering an existing equipment and to increase the filtering area of the cartridge filter to extend the life thereof. SOLUTION: The cartridge filter has a hollow cylindrical filter main body part 10 wherein a filter material 18 is inserted in the gap between inner and outer double cylindrical air permeable members (porous cylindrical bodies 14, 16) and a plate-shaped prefilter part 12 wherein a prefilter material 28 is held between two air permeable members (a disk 24 and a porous disk 26). One end of the filter main body part is connected to the single surface of the plate- shaped prefilter part and the whole of the other end of the filter main body part is closed by an end plate 30 and an attaching cylindrical body 32 is provided to the outer periphery of the prefilter part. By this constitution, exhaust gas containing dust passes through the prefilter part to enter the hollow part of the filter main body part to radially get out of the filter main body part.
