PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a modulus of section large and to make production possible in a lightweight for a framework material to be used for a structural body which houses articles therein or covers the articles therewith and is foldable when being unused by a method wherein the framework material is formed with core members inserted into insertion holes formed at a frame member made up of thin synthetic resin and heat sealing applied to both ends of the frame member. SOLUTION: A framework material 1a applied to a box-shaped structural body to be used as equipment for housing or transporting articles is made of a synthetic resin and comprises a frame member 2a in which insertion holes 3a are formed with the inside in a thin rectangular shape thereof being divided into sections each in a square or rectangular section are provided, and constructed with core members 5 inserted into the insertion holes 3a. In the case where a front body A is made up for a structural body for a container, the framework materials 1a are used, and after the materials are cut into lengths corresponding respectively to an upper frame member 10a, a reinforcing middle frame member 11a, a bottom frame member 12a, a left vertical frame member 13a and a right vertical frame member 14, the frame members 10a-14a are heat sealed respective at their both ends for closing. Because of this heat sealing, the core members 5 do not project beyond the framework materials 1a even though the framework materials 1a are bent.
