PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a ceramic substrate for a polycrystalline silicon thin film type solar cell using kaolin clay which is a cheep and natural raw material. SOLUTION: Kaolin clay (containing SiO2 and Al2O3 as main components and trace amounts of impurities) and alumina (Al2O3) powder as raw materials are mixed with each other in such a manner that the rate of SiO2 and Al2O3 are 55-50 wt.% and 45-50 wt.% respectively, then molded and calcined at 1,570-1,650 deg.C to manufacture the ceramic substrate. |
