ALL WOOL WOVEN FABRIC HAVING LIGHT-WEIGHT AND STRETCHABILITY AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an all wool woven fabric having remarkable light weight and stretchability and provide a process for producing the woven fabric at a low cost. SOLUTION: A fabric is woven with a single union yarn spun from a soluble fiber and an animal hair fiber and having a thickness of >=30 count (meter count) and a twist coefficient of >=130 and the produced fabric is treated with hot water to shrink the soluble fiber and then dissolve and remove the soluble fiber. The sum of shrinkages in warp and weft directions of the fabric is >15%, the yarn constituting the fabric is an all wool single yarn having a thickness of >=35 count (meter count) and the number of single fibers constituting the single yarn is >=40 based on the cross-section of the single yarn.
