PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a medicine having low side effect, effective for preventing the sudden death of animal and useful for the treatment of cardiac diseases, hypertension, osteoporosis, anxiety, diabetes, or the like, by including a therapeutically effective amount of a corticotropin releasing factor antagonist. SOLUTION: The objective medicine contains a therapeutically effective amount of a corticotropin releasing factor antagonist such as a compound (salt) expressed by formula I or II [the dotted line is optionally existing double bond; A is N or CR7 (R7 is H, a 1-4C alkyl, or the like); B is NR1R2, CR1R2R11 (R1 is H or a 1-6C alkyl; R2 is a 1-6C alkyl, an aryl, or the like; R11 is H, hydroxy, or the like), or the like; D is N, CR10 (R10 is H, a 1-6C alkyl, or the like), or the like; E is N, CR4 (R4 is H, a 1-6C alkyl, or the like), or the like; Z is NH, O, S, or the like; R3 is H, a halogen, a 1-6C alkyl, or the like; R5 is phenyl, naphthyl, or the like], e.g. 4-(1-ethyl-propoxy)-2,5-dimethyl-6-(2,4,6-trimethyl- benzyl)-pyrimidine. The daily administration rate of the compound is preferably 1.0-20 mg/kg body-weight.
