MOLDING OF GLASS PANEL FOR CATHODE-RAY TUBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for molding a glass panel excellent in outer appearance while suppressing wrinkles occurred on the outer surface of a region ranging from the neighborhood of a blend part to a skirt part of the glass panel for a cathode-ray tube. SOLUTION: When molding a lass panel for a cathode-ray tube which has a face part 11 forming nearly rectangular display part and a skirt part 13 nearly vertically extending from the peripheral edge part of the face part 11 through a blend part 12, the glass panel 10 is molded using a bottom mold for roughening the surface of a region 32 molding the outer surface of a side wall containing the blend part 12 of the glass panel 10 to form a roughened surface 26.
