The invention relates to a method for sowing corn in rows, oriented in a certain direction relative to the cardinal points applied in plant growing units. The method consists in determining first the optimal period for the sowing, namely when the temperature is of 8 to 10° C with a tendency towards warming up. The optimal density of crop per hectar is established depending on the hybrid precocity and on kind of culture, irrigated or non-irrigated. The density should be of 30,000 to 80, 000 plants per hectar. A distance of 40 to 80 cm between the rows also depending on the available mechanical means is used. Depending on soil texture, the depth of sowing is of 5 to 8 cm. Then the rows are orientated in NV-SV direction depending on the cardinal points in order to increase the photosynthesis efficiency and to grow the production of dry substance in the plant which is ensured normally at the same time with the sowing of the plant.
