PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the big directional change of the ends, located apart from a fixing nip portion, of fixed sheets being moved in a sheet carrying passage, the irregularity of the entry of the ends of the sheet into a carrying guide, great impact to the sheets and damage such as corrugation thereto. SOLUTION: A sheet carrier has a fixing nip portion 6 between a fixing roller 2 and a pressure roller 3, carrying guides 8-1, 8-2 provided in a sheet carrying passage 9 between a discharge roller 5 and a discharge nip portion 7 and a separating pawl 4 for separating sheets from a fixing roller 6. An angle formed by a tangent line of the fixing nip portion 4 between the fixing roller 2 and the pressure roller 3 and a tangent line of the discharge nip portion 7 of the discharge roller 5 is 60 degrees or more. The guide member 8-1 on the side of the pressure roller 3 is protruded to the side of the fixing roller 2 beyond a line connecting the fixing nip portion 6 and the rear end of the separating pawl 4 near the downstream side of the separating pawl 4 in the sheet carrying direction.
