A cleaning device (1) comprises a body (2), a cleaning liquid reservoir (3), a pump (4), a pressure pipe-line (9-10), cleaning chambers (5-6) with a place for fixing of at least one electric and mechanical injectors. Whereas, the device is provided with the fixtures for electric injector filter removing and installation and for displacing of the needle at cleaning of the mechanical injector. A method for cleaning of an internal combustion engine injector provides for removing the filter from the electric injector and cleaning it separately, and at cleaning of the mechanical injector it is initially cleaned from the side of the spray head, afterwards the cleaning liquid is fed to the injector in the direction of fuel feeding.
