<p>The invention concerns a device (10) for treating a motor vehicle exhaust gases (G), comprising an intake tube (14) for exhaust gases (G) and a discharge tube (16) for exhaust gases (G) between which is interposed a chamber (12) for treating gases comprising gas (G) treating means (22) made of fibres. The invention is characterised in that the fibres (28) of the gas treating means have a cross-section in the shape of a crescent, in particular like that of a convex lens. The invention also concerns a method for making a unit (22), in particular tubular, produced from metal fibres forming the inventive gas (G) treating means.</p> |
