An electrical components (4) installation system includes socket-base elements (3) which can be strung together for plugging in various electric components (4) and can be fastened on a fixture rail (2) preferably with an undercut connection (12). The socket-base elements (3) support on both of their sides (19,21) complementary pluggable connections (20) for electrical contact-making, of which two contacts (20) arranged on opposite sides are short-circuited by means of a conductor extending transversely through the base element (3) in order that the voltages to be distributed (via phases (L1---L3) neutral (N) and/or earth) are looped through the row (3) of sockets, with each of the short-circuited conductors electrically connected to an electrical connector (24) serving as the electrical connection of electric components designed as pluggable modules (4).
