The separable coupling (1) has a drive element (2) on the tailgate frame acting with a driven element (3) on the rear window. There are at least two carriers (5) on the drive element, uniformly distributed round its circumference. These carriers transmit rotary motion to the rear window wiper by acting with corresponding recesses (7) in the drive element.
