Gear pump coupling device

An insert coupling device (20) is constructed of a polymeric material and is slip fitted onto the drive shaft (18) to dampen vibrations between the gear drive shaft (14) and the pump drive shaft. In the preferred arrangement a slot or hole is formed in the drive shaft and the insert coupling is positioned in there. Thus the insert coupling is supported within the drive shaft.
