PURPOSE: A phase separator and a cooling cycle are provided to achieve maximized cooling capacity by enhancing a control force of an expansion valve for controlling an amount of refrigerant flowing into the evaporator. CONSTITUTION: In a cooling cycle having a compressor, a condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator connected in sequence, a phase separator comprises a main body(11) having a space for storing a predetermined volume of a refrigerant and which separates a gas refrigerant and a liquid refrigerant from a gas-liquid mixture refrigerant discharged from the evaporator, and a refrigerant inlet/outlet unit in which an outlet pipe(14) of the evaporator is connected to a side of the main body and an inlet pipe(15) is connected to the other side of the main body. The refrigerant inlet/outlet unit further comprises a baffle(16) having micro holes formed in a thickness-wise direction and which is arranged above a front end of the inlet pipe.
