PURPOSE: A plate for heat exchanger and a heat exchanger using such plate are provided to achieve an improved refrigerant flowability, reduced size of a heat exchanger, and seek to an optimum heat exchange performance. CONSTITUTION: A plate is characterized in that beads(25) in a heat exchange area(23) are uniformly arranged, and a ratio between a space formed by a central line connecting two beads adjacent to each other in widthwise direction and a width of the heat exchange portion is equal to or higher than 0.89mm and equal to or lower than 1.6mm. A plurality of beads are arranged at a line extended from a lower end of a dividing bead(24) for bi-sectioning the heat exchange portion into right and left, and two beads accessing the dividing bead are formed larger than other beads. A reinforcing bead(28) is elongated in diagonal direction at both edges of a U-turn portion(27). In a manifold plate, length and width of a slot(22) are shorter than those of others. Three vertical beads(26) are arranged beneath a cup(21) connected to a semi-circular manifold.
