The device has a sensor (2) to determine the force of a blow and signalling devices to display the force after each successful blow. Preferably, the device has a sand bag (1) that is to be struck and the sensor detects the hardness of each strike, and transmits the signal. The sensor signal is transmitted by a cable (3) to a digital limit selector (4) with an acoustic or optical device to signal when a desired striking hardness has been achieved.
