PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately detect deflection of a wire to re-try the supply of the wire. SOLUTION: With this wire feeding device, a conductive detecting ring 2 for detecting an abnormal wire feeding state is provided at an inlet of a wire passage 29 formed in an upper wire head 6, through which a wire 1 is passed. A controller 31 stops the supply of the wire 1 in response to a detected signal of the abnormal feeding state of the wire 1, detected by the detecting ring 2, and performs control for re-trying the supply operation of the wire 1.
