PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the continuous production of a composite material comprising a surface layer and a core material layer which can position the core material layer correctly at prescribed middle position. SOLUTION: An impregnated body 42 in which a long-fiber bundle 41 is impregnated with an expandable thermosetting resin composition 22 is introduced along the upper surface of the mold 5 and the inner surface of a both side surface from one end of a molding mold 5. A core material 15 comprising a filler and a thermosetting resin composition which was molded in advance is inserted into a space part formed by the impregnated body 42, and the thermosetting resin is expanded/cured while being advanced in the mold 5. Next, the impregnated body 42 is introduced along the inner surface of the lower surface from the lower surface of the mold 5, and the expandable thermosetting resin composition of the impregnated body introduced from the lower surface while being advanced in the mold 5 is expanded/cured, and the impregnated body 12 and the core material 15 which were introduced from one end of the mold 5 are molded integrally.
