SOLUTION: A subject stands straight on the stepping stone 1 of a simple pillow measuring instrument, puts the inner sides of left and right calcanceus together, separates toes a little, lets arms down on the both surface of the body, places forearms at supination position and stands in the state of an anatomically natural posture where buttocks and the tops of scapula bone back side surfaces are brought into clase contact with the vertical surface of a reference board 2. In the posture state, a measurement board 4 is held between the top of the skull rear surface of the subject and the reference board 2 to measure the distance. The measurement value is displayed, the material quality and the shape of the pillow with the height corresponding to the displayed measurement value are produced by fixed standard by adjusting only quantity, the produced pillow keeps the position of the head in the anatomically natural posture where he or she straightens the body in a face-up position and it is provided with the ideal height being most adaptable to the human body.
