PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a subject that an ink leak is generated by the communication of the air path provided to the bottom surface of an ink tank with a liquid housing chamber easily formed in a separation type ink tank wherein an absorbing member chamber and an ink chamber are together provided and an air path is formed between an absorbing member and the inner wall of the tank and, particularly, a fiber body is used as the absorbing member and an ink supply port is located on the bottom surface side of the ink tank. SOLUTION: In a liquid housing container equipped with a negative pressure generating member housing chamber which is provided with a liquid supply part 32 and an atmosphere communication part, a liquid housing chamber 36 provided with the communication hole 40 communicating with the negative pressure generating member housing chamber and forming a substantially hermetically closed space and a partition wall 38 partitioning the negative pressure generating member housing chamber and the liquid housing chamber 36 and having the communication hole 40 formed thereto, the communication hole 40 formed to the partition wall 38 is constituted so as not to come into contact with the negative pressure generating member housing chamber. |
