摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flywheel system which can be improved in efficiency by making electromagnetic coupling closer, and in addition, can prolong the service life of a coil by constituting the system, in such a structure that thermal stresses hardly occur in the coil. SOLUTION: A flywheel 32 is constituted of a hollow doughnut-like iron core and a conductive material, covering the core and supported in a hollow doughnut-like enclosure in a floating state. The enclosure is wound with a coil and covered with an iron material. When the flywheel 32 is rotated by generating a rotating magnetic field by energizing the coil with an alternating current, energy is stored in the flywheel 32. When the energizing frequency of the coil is made lower than the number of revolutions of the flywheel 32, the energy stored in the flywheel 32 can be taken out as electric power.
