PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box construction by which front-to-back and side-to-side positioning of a unit frame with respect to a base is facilitated and the mechanical strength in front-to-bask and side-to-side directions can be enhanced. SOLUTION: A box for an ice-making machine is provided with a unit frame 21, having right and left side parts 21a and the like and a base 20 which supports the unit frame 21 from the side of a setting surface 8. The base 20 is provided with a main body 20a, downward edges 20b which are placed on the right and left sides of the main body 20a and rise toward the setting surface 8, support parts 20c which extend from the right and left sides of the downward edges 20b and support right and left side parts 21a and the like from the side of the setting surface 8 and protrusions 20d, which are placed on the support parts 20c and set the front-to-back position of the right and left side parts 21a. The side parts 21a abut on the downward edges 20b and are fixed to the protrusions 20d using bolts 22 in a state of being positioned by the protrusions 20d.
