PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of dioxins, etc. in incinerating a resin or rubber composition without detriment to the clarity of the composition by incorporating allophane, imogolite and/or powdered pumice into the composition. SOLUTION: A synthetic resin selected from among polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinylidene chloride, polypropylene and polyethylene terephthalate or a rubber selected from among a styrene-butadiene rubber, a high-styrene rubber, a butadiene rubber, an isoprene rubber, an acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, a chloroprene rubber, a butyl rubber, a urethane rubber and a silicone rubber is compounded with 0.1-50 wt.%, preferably 1-10 wt.%, at least one ingredient selected from among allophane, imogolite and powdered pumice with a particle size of 40μm or lower. Thus, the concentration of hydrogen chloride, trichloroethylene, tetrachloroethylene or the like in smoke generated during incineration can be decreased.
