PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt servo apparatus capable of performing an accurate and stable tilt correction even when a surface of an optical disk is shifted. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal tilt servo apparatus includes sampling means for performing the sampling of an envelop curve signal intensity of a detection signal at every predetermined rotation angle based on a rotation signal that is in synchronization with the rotation of a motor for rotating an optical recording medium, and calculation means for calculating an average value of the thus-sampled envelop curve signal intensities, and determines a correction value based on the thus-obtained average value, thereby performing a tilt correction control. |
