SHIELDED CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielded connector capable of preventing plastic deformation of the tip part of a shield shell. SOLUTION: In a male side housing 11 a shield shell 17 is inserted so as to surround a male terminal fitting 12, and its tip part 17A is projected from the front wall 16 of the male side housing 11 to the front. On the front wall 16 a retainer 18 is mounted and provided with a shell protecting wall 20 surrounding the tip part 17A of the shield shell 17. Thus, the tip part 17A of the shield shell 17 is surrounded by the shell protecting wall 20 for preventing it from abutting on other parts or tools to prevent plastic deformation of the tip part 17A of the shield shell 17.
