REFERENCE VOLTAGE CIRCUIT AND A/D CONVERTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference voltage circuit for generating a non-linear reference voltage by making unequal the intervals of reference voltages and to provide an A/D converter for providing linear input/output characteristics by absorbing characteristics degradation peculiar for the A/D converter. SOLUTION: This circuit has a reference resistor string 8 composed of serially connected plural reference resistors 104, a first reference voltage source 5 connected to one end of the reference resistor string 8 and a second reference voltage source 6 connected to the other end of the reference resistor string 8 and at least different resistance values are included in the resistance of the reference resistor string 8. Thus, the intervals of reference voltages are made unequal and the non-linear reference voltage can be generated. Besides, by using such a reference voltage circuit for the A/D converter, the linear input/ output characteristics can be provided by absorbing the characteristics degradation peculiar for the A/D converter.
