PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a filter holder which reduce the number of components and facilitate the assembly and further prevents an opening and closing member and a shaft part from deforming, when the opening and closing member having been already made to abut against a stopper is further pressed in the opening direction. SOLUTION: This filter holder has a holder main body 1, which is fitted to optical equipment and the opening and closing member 2, which is fitted to the holder main body 1 in an opening/closing slidable state, so as to attach and detach an optical filter to and from the holder main body. On the holder main body 1, the shaft part (1a) fitted with the opening and closing member 2 in the opening/closing slidable state is formed in one body and an opening and closing member 2 is formed of an elastic material and elastically deformed and fitted to the shaft part. The holder main body 1 is provided with the stopper 1d, which stops the opening and closing member 2 from being opened exceeding a prescribed angle of the holder main body 1 and if an opening force further operates on the opening and closing member 2 having been already made to abut against the stopper, the opening and closing member 2 is elastically deformed so as to slip off from the shaft part.
