PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorbing type front-under run protector small in size and weight and capable of absorbing an impact energy sufficiently and smoothly when an impact force is applied in a vehicle having a protector preventing the other vehicle with low profile from going into the front-under side of a chassis frame. SOLUTION: This front-under run protector comprises an impact energy absorbing device 1 formed of an FRP energy absorbing body 2 and a tubular body 3 surrounding the FRP energy absorbing body 2 provided between a bracket 5 and a protector 4 fixed to the front part underside of a side member 8 of a chassis frame 7. A slit 10 is provided in the tubular body 3 and, therefore, when an impact force is applied to the tubular body 10, the crushing of the fractions of the FRP energy absorbing body 2 can be performed smoothly, and a sufficient impact energy absorbing effect can be provided.
