METHOD FOR SEPARATING CATHODE-RAY TUBE AND DEVICE FOR SEPARATING CATHODE-RAY TUBE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device for separating a cathode-ray tube capable of excellently separating a panel and a funnel regardless of a shape and dimension of the cathode-ray tube, and allowing easy recycling. SOLUTION: This separating device separates a cathode-ray tube 10 having a separation line in a junction part between a panel 2 and a funnel 1 over the whole periphery. The separating device has a diamond cutter for applying a scratch 4 to the whole periphery of the separation line, and a nichrome heater 6 for generating thermal distorsion over the whole periphery of the separation line by heating the whole periphery of the separation line applied with the scratch 4.
