PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a digital camera improving the security of picked-up image data by generating enciphered image data by enciphering image data on the basis of a cryptography key received from the outside and storing the enciphered image data and the cryptography key. SOLUTION: An image picking up part 102 follows the control of an image processing part 103, fetches a prescribed image and transmits it to the part 103, the part 103 performs image processing and compression processing, and a system controlling part 101 stores compressed image data in recording media 104. When a cipher code production mode is set, the part 101 makes the part 103 prepare a cipher code on the basis of image data which are imaged and stored in the media 104 and stores the cipher code in an internal storage device 106. A digital camera 100 transmits inherent information and enciphers the picked-up image data on the basis of a cryptography key transmitted from a host computer 401. |
