A reversible thermosensitive composition is provided, comprising a matrix resin and at least one kind of low molecular weight organic material dispersed in the matrix resin, the reversible thermosensitive composition changing transparency reversibly with temperature, in which the matrix resin comprises a graft polymer or a graft copolymer, having the following polymerizing unit, wherein R1 and R4 each is hydrogen or an alkyl group; R2 is a bond, a dibasic fatty acid group, a divalent aromatic group, or a divalent group of admixed fatty acid and aromatic groups; R3 is a dibasic fatty acid group, a divalent aromatic group, or a divalent group of admixed fatty acid and aromatic groups; and R5 is hydrogen, or -CON(R5)-R3-C(R4)=(CH2), inclusive of hydrogen at the end of a polymer chain. Also disclosed are a reversible thermosensitive recording medium, comprising a supporting substrate and the reversible thermosensitive composition disposed on the supporting substrate.
