PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure heat storing efficiency by simply defining a number of water tanks in a heat storage tank provided to a foundation pit. SOLUTION: A heat storage tank provided to a foundation pit of a building comprises a plurality of water tanks 4 defined by foundation beams 1 and the like to serve as defining walls consisting of a body wherein a series of meandering water passage is formed to communicate between the water tanks through communicating holes provided at the defining walls. The water tank is divided by a partitioning wall 10 consisting of a sheet member 11. The sheet member has a communicating hole 14 at a given position, both sides of the sheet member being firmly connected to struts 12, respectively, which have been established along the defining walls, so that the sheet member spreads out between the struts. The upper and lower ends of the individual struts are pressed against upper and lower slabs 2, 3, respectively, to have the struts stand by themselves in a stretching state. The sheet member is further provided with an inspection hole 15 which can be opened and closed by a fastener 16.
