PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the facsimile communication at a proper communication speed by storing an line wire calling telephone number, deciding whether the calling destination is the opposite party that is connected to a line wire according to whether the calling telephone number includes the line wire number that is stored in a storage means and then performing the transmission by means of a calling control processing function when the calling destination is the opposite party that is connected to the line wire. SOLUTION: When the telephone number of the transmitting destination is inputted from an operation part 4 in a transmission mode, a CPU 5 checks whether a calling control processing function is turned on by a calling control function setting switch of the part 4. When the 1st digit number of the telephone of the opposite party is matched with the line wire calling number that is previously stored in a memory 8, the CPU 5 decides that the transmitting opposite party is equal to the opposite party that is connected to a line wire. Thus, a facsimile device 1 decides whether its calling destination is the opposite party that is connected to the line wire according to whether the calling telephone number includes the line wire calling number stored in the memory 8 and then performs the calling control.
