The invention relates to a device for fixing a light fixture body (3) of a light fixture to a ceiling. The device comprises a connecting element which is joined to the light element via connecting means and can be moved from a normal position into a fixing position in which it is fixed to the ceiling. In the fixing position a support end provided for on the fixing element reaches behind the opening in the ceiling or a support so as to fix the light fixture body in said opening. To make it possible for light fixtures to be fixed to any type of ceiling by one person and without tools the invention provides for at least one guide element which projects from the light fixture body to be mounted on the light fixture body (3) or to be connectable to same; for the fixing element to be configured as a slide element (2) which comprises at least one elongated hole (10, 11) for receiving the guide element so that the slide element can be slid in relation to the light fixture body (3); for blocking elements which block the slide element (2) in at least one fixing position; for the slide element (2) to be positioned on the inside of the light fixture body (3); and for an opening in the light fixture body (3) through which at least the support end (2b) of the slide element (2) is able to pass through the light fixture body (3). |
