PURPOSE:To improve the quality of water used when coffee or tea is made by bonding ascorbic acids and/or salts thereof to a carrier. CONSTITUTION:A water purifying agent for a favorite drink is obtained by bonding ascorbic acids and/or salts thereof in a powdery or solid state to a carrier. As ascorbic acids, there are L-ascorbic acid and ones having biochemical effect same to that of ascorbic acid and, other than L-ascorbic acid, dehydroascorbic acid, 6-deoxyascorbic acid, L-rhamnoascorbic acid, D-erythorbic acid (D-isoascorbic acid), L-ascorbic ester and alkali metal salts thereof such as sodium or potassium salts thereof are designated. The carrier is pref. a filter composed of a fiber. As the material or structure of a filter fiber, a wide range of a fiber can be used but one containing one or more of an org. synthetic fiber or a natural or semi-synthetic cellulosic fiber is pref. |
