PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reclining chair made to be easily usable as a massaging machine and a lounger by setting an ottoman in a raised state even when a backrest is kept in a standing state and setting this backrest into an inclined state at need from the standing state. SOLUTION: An ottoman 4 is fitted to the front side of the lower frame 2 of a seat 1 in a vertically movable manner, and a backrest 6 is fitted to the rear side of this lower frame 2 so that the backrest can be freely raised or inclined. A linear actuator 7 is interposed between the ottoman 4 and the backrest 6 to raise the ottoman 4 by the primary operation of this linear actuator. In addition, the backrest 6 is inclined by the secondary operation of the actuator 7.
