PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized attenuator which can be attached to electronic devices for which size reduction is required. SOLUTION: An ATT board 26 is accommodated in a cylindrical accommodating part formed in a rear case 15. The board 26 mounts thereon a plurality of unit attenuator circuits each having a different amount of attenuator. The board 26 is designed so as to rotate together with a shift 1, and has input- and output-side contacts 14 provided on its back side pattern surface. These contacts 14 are connected to input- and output-side connectors through input- and output-side brushes 8. The shaft 1 is rotated by a predetermined angle with a click mechanism which comprises an index plate 3, steel balls 10 engageable with the peripheral edge portions of the plate 3, and ball pressure springs 9 for pressing the balls 10.
