PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize floating running by reducing the variance of the extent of floating in the process where a floating magnetic head is moved from a data zone of a magnetic disk to a servo zone. SOLUTION: The magnetic disk is combined with a floating magnetic head 5 to record and reproduce digital information, and its disk substrate 1 is a plastic formed article, and a data zone 3 where many data tracks 3a are arranged in concentric circles and a servo zone 4 where projecting and recessed servo marks are extended in the radial direction of the disk across the data tracks are formed on the surface of the substrate. In this case, a dummy bump 3b which generates a field of a high pressure in the floating space between the disk and the magnetic head is formed in the end part of each data track in the transition position from the data zone to the area of the servo zone, and the dummy bump is formed into a pillow-shaped projection whose section is semicircular, and R/L>0.1 is set where R and L are its radius of curvature and the groove width of recessed parts 4c of the servo zone respectively.
