PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boot for univercal joint capable of preventing a bellows part from being caught between an adapter and an operational shaft even when a bending angle of the universal joint is extremely large, that is, preventing the bellows part from being fractured thereby, and shaping the bellows part to be thin. SOLUTION: In a boot 1 for universal joint where a small diameter side end 4 of a boot body 2 made of a flexible material and comprising a bellows part 3 is mounted on an operational shaft 7 by means of a clamp 5, and a large diameter side end 8 of the boot body 2 is fixed to an adaptor 9 and mounted on an outer ring part through the adaptor 9, the adaptor 9 is provided with a projection 11 to be contacted with a peripheral surface of the clamp 5 or the operational shaft 7 on a part of the circumference when the universal joint 6 is bent with a large angle.
