PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airtightness testing machine in which a plurality of types of airtight container can be tested using a single airtightness testing machine. SOLUTION: The airtightness testing machine 1 is stood on a base 2 such that a rotary pole 6 can rotate in a horizontal plane and rotated by means of a drive motor 12. Four buckets 8A, 8B, 8C and 8D come sequentially above a water tank 4 as the rotary pole 6 rotates. The elevating/lowering cylinder 16A of the bucket 8A coming above the water tank 4 operate to sink a gasoline tank WA into the water tank 4 even if clamp plates 10-10 are lowered. A worker observes the gasoline tank WA in the water through the glass wall of the water tank 4 and checks generation of bubbles. Upon elapsing a predetermined time, the bucket 8A is lifted up through action of the elevating/lowering cylinder 16A and the rotary pole 6 rotates counterclockwise by 90 deg. to locate the bucket 8B above the water tank 8. In such a manner, airtightness test is carried out sequentially for gasoline tanks WB, WC and WD.
