QUALITY JUDGING METHOD IN LADDLE REPLACING PART OF CONTINUOUS CAST PIECE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the enclosure of a continuous cast piece of a laddie replacing part at low cost to accurately judge the results of a product after rolling. SOLUTION: The molten steel sample in a tundish is collected during the period starting at a laddle replacing part before the injection amt. of molten steel into a mold becomes 1.5 times the vol. of the tundish to perform primary judgment and only a cast piece wherein accuracy equal to or more than primary judgment is required is subjected to secondary judgment accompanied by cast piece analysis to realize inexpensive and accurate judgment.
