PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power switching device which can perform the switching of the power reception of two system at high speed and without fail, and a power swithcing method. SOLUTION: A power switching device 5 is equipped with first switches 5a connected to each phase of the first system being a power receiving bus and consisting a plurality of phases, and second switches 5b connected to each phase of the second system being a power receiving bus and consisting of a plurality of phases. Then, this device is equipped with a switching controller 5c which outputs opening commands to the first switches 5a and output opening commands to the second switched 5b after having detected some one of the first switches 5a connected to each phase of the first system being broken, and switches the power receiving system of the load 6 connected between the first switches 5a and the second switches 5b from the first system to the second system. |
