PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information retrieval system capable of reducing user's work for preparing a liking profile at the time of executing collaborative filtering. SOLUTION: In the information retrieval method, liking profiles are stored in a data base in each registered user (141 to 143) and managed. A table of the belonging person information of other registered user is provided to a retriever. A collaborative filtering part 133 retrieves information on the basis of a linking profile specified by the belonging person information selected by the retriever and provides the retrieved result to the retriever.
