<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image decoder that efficiently executes an up-sample function that interpolates a pixel of image data for a low resolution screen image to generate image data for a high resolution screen image. SOLUTION: The image decoder is provided with a motion compensation circuit 50 that generates reproduction image data on the basis of a reference address resulting from a motion vector and difference data. The motion compensation circuit 50 includes a memory circuit 120 that stores reproduction image data, an output address control circuit 160 that generates an output address signal, and a data output circuit 200 that generates image output data by adding periodically dummy data to the reproduction image data outputted from the memory circuit 120 in response to the output address signal. The image decoder is also provided with an up-sample circuit 60 that receives the image output data and applies up-sample processing to the image output data.</p> |
