PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow higher signal output when detecting a human body image by adjacently arranging a set of dual electrodes up and down or left and right, and by setting the dimensions of each part of a light-receiving electrode or the like to a specific range. SOLUTION: For the dimensions of a light-receiving electrode of a dual-twin- type pyroelectric-type infrared detector used for detecting a human body or the like, and the gas between the light-receiving electrodes, longitudinal length A of the light-receiving electrodes being arranged so that they are adjacent up and down or left and right, width B, gap C between the light receiving electrodes of the same circuits, and gap D between the shortest electrodes of different circuits are set to 1.18-1.33 mm, 0.9-1.1 mm, 0.6-0.8 mm, and 0.3-0.5 mm, respectively, thus efficiently setting the upper and lower half parts of the human body within a light reception area, and hence improving detection efficiency, for example, when the installation height of the detector, the focus distance of an optical system, and detection distance are 3 m, 25 mm, and 12 m, respectively. Further for a small animal to be assumed, efficient detection can be carried out.
|
