PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance performance of a vehicle lighting fixture, for example visibility, by decreasing the extent covered by a light shielding hood at the time a passing light filament is lighted greatly from the H-4 type of a conventional technique, enlarging the effective region for forming the passing light distribution, and forming a passing light distribution with very high brightness. SOLUTION: A passing light filament 3 is installed below the center line Z of a bulb 2 while a running light filament 3 is arranged behind and below the passing light filament 2, and lead-in wires 5 to support the two sorts of filaments are installed over the two filaments with a common lead-in wire 5c positioned in the middle, wherein the two sorts of filaments 4 and 3 are connected with the common lead-in wire 5c at the end on the adjacent side. In this electric bulb 1 for a car, the extent covered by a light shielding hood at the time the passing light filament is lighted is decreased greatly, and it is made practicable to generate a passing light distribution with a very high lightness and also a bright running light distribution.
